• Cobb, Tyrus Raymond (‘Ty’) [kob] [taɪ] Кобб, Тайрус Раймонд («Тай») (18861961), бейсболист, имевший прозвище Персик из Джорджии [‘Georgia Peach']. Левша при подаче мяча битой и правша при его выбросе рукой. Выступал за детройтских «Тигров» [‘Tigers'] (1905—26) и филадельфийских «Атлетов» [‘Athletics'] (1927—28) и был тренером «Тигров» (192126). Его имя значится в Национальном зале бейсбольной славы [National Baseball Hall of Fame]
